Let me try to be concise with this summary. Obama wins the presidency and Blago-D, Illinois Govenor (a criminal and impeached Govenor) appoints Burris-D (now under ethics investigation) who will not seek election for the Junior Senator seat from Illinois. The race comes down to five-term Rep. Mark Steven Kirk, the expected Republican nominee, who is running for Mr. Obama’s seat. The Democratic front-runner is state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, whom an opposing Democratic campaign adviser calls a “deeply flawed” candidate. Hmmm, what does “deeply flawed” actually mean? His family bank, where Alexi served as an officer, made loans to Tony Rezko, who is now sitting in a penitentiary. If Kirk wins, that means that Obama’s former Senate seat will go to a Republican. Face slap number one.
Now, let’s talk about Joe (don’t mess with Joe) Biden’s seat in Delaware. Rep. Michael N. Castle, a Republican who has won nine statewide elections as the state’s only House member, has been leading state Attorney General Beau (don’t mess with Beau?) Biden in polls. Beau, if you haven’t figured it out yet is Joe’s son. So much for the no cronyism rule of the Dems. Beau has not decided if he’s going to run yet, but either way, the odds are that Biden’s Senate seat will also go to a Republican. Face slap number two.
Don't mess with Joe or Beau?

With an election less than a year away and pending healthcare, cap & tax, and other spending bills in the House and Senate, how many Democrats are willing to sacrifice their careers for a President with a 44% approval rating after only a year in office? Dirty, slimy Harry Reid can’t find 60 votes to pass healthcare, Cap & Trade seems DOA in the Senate and now Barry O’s numbers are still tanking. He’s got a big problem, and it’s not the Republicans. It’s his own party who can’t agree on anything. Poor Obama.

Unbelievable article in Rolling Stone slamming Obama and the people with whom he’s surrounded himself. During the campaign, he slammed Bush for cronyism, the act of hiring people who are friends or family. Obama puts Bush to shame with his own version. This guy is downright shady in his dealings. The author of the article, Matt Taibbi shows incredible detail and research by proving and listing everyone involved. I will warn you that there are some bad words as only Rolling Stone can get away with. The piece is long, but well worth it if you want to know the real agenda behind the most dishonest president in our history and his cronies. You might want to get yourself something to nibble on and a drink before sinking your teeth into this one. So sit back and read the story of Obama and his crooked little friends. Enjoy.
Obama and his Wall Street cronies
Barack Obama ran for president as a man of the people, standing up to Wall Street as the global economy melted down in that fateful fall of 2008. He pushed a tax plan to soak the rich, ripped NAFTA for hurting the middle class and tore into John McCain for supporting a bankruptcy bill that sided with wealthy bankers “at the expense of hardworking Americans.” Obama may not have run to the left of Samuel Gompers or Cesar Chavez, but it’s not like you saw him on the campaign trail flanked by bankers from Citigroup and Goldman Sachs. What inspired supporters who pushed him to his historic win was the sense that a genuine outsider was finally breaking into an exclusive club, that walls were being torn down, that things were, for lack of a better or more specific term, changing.
Then he got elected.

This interesting thing about the chart below is that it takes every known poll out there and charts it to come up with the average. EVERY poll listed below the chart (click link below) has the people who oppose the healthcare bill substantially higher. Do you think the Senators and Representatives could take their heads out of their…um…you know, and take a minute to read the polls or even, I don’t know, maybe ask their constituents? I will ask the question yet again. Didn’t we elect these people to REPRESENT us? If we do not want this bill by an overwhelming majority, then why are they forcing this bill on us?
Have you noticed that they are not talking about improving the healthcare we receive, they are spending countless hours negotiating items that they can get other Senators to agree on. Public option, abortion, etc. These things have nothing to do with the way our healthcare is delivered only administered; along with substantial bribes for Senators on the fence. This bill has nothing to do with your health and everything to do with controlling a huge sector of the economy and our lives. Continue to call your Senators and urge them to vote against the bill and to convince their Democrat colleagues to vote against it.
Do Americans Want Health Care Reform, or Not?
Polled support for the health care plan wending its way through Congress continues to crash downward in the polls. And before you say it, it’s not just Rasmussen, which has actually been pretty much in the middle of the other polls. Here’s where we stand as of today:

How’s that hopety dopety change working out for ya? With total jobless claims now topping 10 million, the unemployment situation is not looking any better. Last week Obama went out and flashed those big pearly whites, you know the ones that make him a good politician, and told people that the unemployment situation was improving based on the 11% of new claims filed are down from a year ago. But wait…what he didn’t read off of the teleprompter was that continuing claims are up 31%. Now, if you are an Obama supporter and just drool over his eloquence without paying any attention to the real meaning, I’ll try and explain what that actually means. It means that fewer jobs were lost, but once they are lost, it takes a much longer time to find a new job. Remember those old black and white depression-era photos? Well history is repeating itself. Yep, I guess that old stimulus tax that Joe (don’t mess with Joe) Biden says is working exactly the way it was designed to is really helping. Riiight.
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – The number of people filing claims for state unemployment benefits rose by 17,000 to a seasonally adjusted 474,000 in the week ending Dec. 5, while the total number of people claiming benefits of any kind topped 10 million, a sign of very sluggish hiring, the Labor Department reported Thursday.
First-time claims — which measure new layoffs — rose for the first time in six weeks in the week after Thanksgiving. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch had expected initial claims to fall to about 450,000.

This isn’t good for Harry Reid. California just joined Georgia, Florida, and Texas in publically opposing the bill. This should give cause for concern with some of the Dems based in California alone. It’s a bad bill. Period.
The state’s largest doctors group is opposing healthcare legislation being debated in the Senate this week, saying it would increase local healthcare costs and restrict access to care for elderly and low-income patients.
The California Medical Assn. represents more than 35,000 physicians statewide, making it the second-largest state medical association in the country after Texas.

I will admit that I was only able to stomach about three-fourths of Obama’s speech before switching to something that didn’t involve me yelling at my TV. It pained me to watch our best and brightest young soldiers fidgeting, dozing, and looking disgusted as their Commander-in-Chief determined their fate to fulfill his own political agenda while trying to please everyone. It was clear that these cadets were told to offer respect, and applaud when necessary; and they did. One also need not be a mind reader to determine only from the looks on their faces that they were thinking that they had no faith in this leader that they had to follow into battle.
For Obama, it was clear that his disdain for the United States Military showed through his forced words of patriotism and revenge against the people who attacked us. It was only about 30 seconds into his speech when he again reminded us of the wonderful, peaceful religion of Islam, one of the “world’s great religions” as he loves to say to appease our enemies who were also no doubt watching. He began his speech by giving a history lesson of the 9/11 attacks to the very people who study military history. For Obama there was a bit of revisionist history as well. He did say that he opposed the Iraq war, but now takes credit for the surge and the withdrawal of troops. Does he honestly believe that we will not remember his and the Democrat party’s efforts to undermine our troops and call them war criminals every step of the way? Those cadets remember, and could no doubt see through his efforts to erase the history of his party politics. Obama fought the surge tooth and nail, and when it was clear in the end that it was successful, could barely bring himself to admit it.
His tactic of sending 30,000 troops in the beginning of 2010, and his announcement that he will withdraw them in July of 2011 is another reminder of his inexperience and lack of any tactical knowledge of our history of military engagement. Why would he announce that we will be leaving on a certain date? Does he not believe that the enemy will just return in August of 2011 as soon as we leave? Does a quarterback let the opposing team know which play he is calling prior to the snap? Do the police announce the date and time of their next drug bust? He just announced the dates of our surge and withdrawal of troops. He also let the enemy know where and how we will deploy. In my opinion, he just broke his sworn oath to protect our country from enemies both foreign and domestic. Why would he disclose this information on national television, while preempting a “Charlie Brown Christmas,” by the way? And why the interesting timing of the withdrawal of troops in July of 2011? Is it because that’s when his re-election campaign goes into full gear? Make no mistake; everything this president does is through the lens of political tactics. He needs to appease the hawks and the doves, the American people and the nations of the world, and his far-left fringe base who will be vocal in their opposition, but still support him when they see him withdrawing troops just in time for the campaign.
The other thing that bothered me was his talk of the cost of the war from a financial perspective. How dare he place a monetary cost on these soldier’s lives and our freedom. What does freedom cost Mr. Obama? Does it cost more than a pork filled bill with over 9,000 earmarks in the guise of a stimulus? Does it cost more than the takeover of banks, insurance companies, automobile companies, and mortgage institutions? Does it cost more than a phony cap & trade bill or the cost to fly your fleet of jets to Oslo to pick up your Nobel Peace Prize? I cannot recall one president in the history of our nation who has increased our spending, raised the deficit to unheard of amounts, and took so much control of every aspect of our lives, only to address our national security by attaching a price tag to it. You are not worthy of this high office sir, and your leadership of this country has put us on unstable footing in the world. You have weakened both our image and our strength and will be a one-term president because of your actions. I can only hope and pray for that kind of change.
