Sept. 11 Defendant Seeks a Trial, and a Platform

Eric Holder and Back Hussein Obama will have blood on their hands should KSM and his cohorts have their day in Federal Court. Both the Attorney General and the President are either naive to think that this will not result in a huge platform for these alledged terrorists, or they are doing this on purpose. Obviously the appeasement approach isn’t working because these terrorists excoriate President Obama, and describe the current era as “the black ages of Barack” and call him “a liar.” Nice job guys. I can’t wait to see how you handle Iran when they don’t cooperate. Let’s hold hands and talk some more.  Hey Holder and Obama, remember this?

Obama is going to give the animals who did this, their day in court

The five men the Justice Department has said will be charged in the attacks of Sept. 11 intend to plead not guilty so they can express their political and religious views during a trial, the lawyer for one of the men said on Saturday.

The lawyer, Scott L. Fenstermaker, said that during a meeting at the Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, prison on Tuesday, his client, Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali, expressed the desire for a trial despite his intention to admit his role in the attacks and seek “martyrdom” through execution.

“He acknowledges that he helped plan the 9/11 attacks, and he says he’s looking forward to dying,” Mr. Fenstermaker said of Mr. Ali. But he said he expected Mr. Ali and his co-defendants to plead not guilty “so they can have a trial and try to get their message out.”

Would U.S. Need To Read Bin Laden His Miranda Rights?

Yes, you’re seeing this correctly. NPR actually referred to Sen Lindsey Graham as “stumping” Attorney General Eric Holder. I’m generally not a fan of Mr. Graham, but he does a good job here. What really surprises me are the comments from NPR readers that basically say they think this guy is an idiot and dangerous. Can anyone say Obama buyer’s remorse? I’ve attached the video of some of the questioning.

Lindsey Graham Destroys Eric Holder

Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to give a federal court trial instead of a military commission hearing to five Guantanamo detainees the government has linked to the 9/11 attacks has led to criticism that the Obama Administration is transforming the war on terror from a military to law-enforcement affair.

This has led some critics to wonder if captured terrorist suspects would have to be read their Miranda rights on being captured by U.S. military or law enforcement representatives.

9/11 suspects to be tried in New York

Is it me or is it everyday that Obama and his administration comes up with one bad idea after another? I really believe that their plan is to keep the media and everyone so busy trying to analyze everything they’re doing that no one can focus on any one thing. I also believe that you, my conservative friends are too smart to fall for it. This is one more example of irresponsibility and appeasement to the liberal loony left. Question: If one pleads guilty to a crime, would one still stand trial or would there only be a hearing to sentence the individual? KSM already plead guilty. And why wouldn’t a military tribunal be capable of achieving the same if not better results without putting the citizens of New York through a dangerous procedure like bringing KSM and his terrorist cohorts to their city? Disgusting!

The disgusting terrorist, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The accused mastermind of the September 11 attacks and four other suspects will be sent to New York and prosecuted in a court near where the World Trade Center once stood, the U.S. government said Friday, as it took a step toward closing the Guantanamo Bay military prison.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the others had been facing trials in military commissions at the U.S. naval base in Cuba, but U.S. President Barack Obama has pledged to move some cases to U.S. criminal courts and close the prison by mid-January.
