Obama’s Big Sellout

Unbelievable article in Rolling Stone slamming Obama and the people with whom he’s surrounded himself. During the campaign, he slammed Bush for cronyism, the act of hiring people who are friends or family. Obama puts Bush to shame with his own version. This guy is downright shady in his dealings. The author of the article, Matt Taibbi shows incredible detail and research by proving and listing everyone involved. I will warn you that there are some bad words as only Rolling Stone can get away with. The piece is long, but well worth it if you want to know the real agenda behind the most dishonest president in our history and his cronies. You might want to get yourself something to nibble on and a drink before sinking your teeth into this one. So sit back  and read the story of Obama and his crooked little friends. Enjoy.

Obama and his Wall Street cronies

Barack Obama ran for president as a man of the people, standing up to Wall Street as the global economy melted down in that fateful fall of 2008. He pushed a tax plan to soak the rich, ripped NAFTA for hurting the middle class and tore into John McCain for supporting a bankruptcy bill that sided with wealthy bankers “at the expense of hardworking Americans.” Obama may not have run to the left of Samuel Gompers or Cesar Chavez, but it’s not like you saw him on the campaign trail flanked by bankers from Citigroup and Goldman Sachs. What inspired supporters who pushed him to his historic win was the sense that a genuine outsider was finally breaking into an exclusive club, that walls were being torn down, that things were, for lack of a better or more specific term, changing.

Then he got elected.

After a flurry of stimulus spending, questionable projects pile up

These projects don’t seem that stimulating to me. My questions is why these projects are not local concerns and that we need to pay for them with our federal tax money? Personally I don’t care about a snow-making facility in Duluth, MN. Doesn’t it snow enough in MN already? Why am I paying for that. This is abuse of funds plain and simple and should be investigated as a fraud perpetrated on the American people.

The $787 billion stimulus bill was passed in February and was promised as a job saver and economy booster. Here is where some of the money went:

– $300,000 for a GPS-equipped helicopter to hunt for radioactive rabbit droppings at the Hanford nuclear reservation in Washington state.

– $30 million for a spring training baseball complex for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.

– $11 million for Microsoft to build a bridge connecting its two headquarter campuses in Redmond, Wash., which are separated by a highway.

– $430,000 to repair a bridge in Iowa County, Wis., that carries 10 or fewer cars per day.

– $800,000 for the John Murtha Airport in Johnstown, Pa., serving about 20 passengers per day, to build a backup runway.

– $219,000 for Syracuse University to study the sex lives of freshmen women.

Biden: Job Stats “Not 100 Percent Accurate”

Don’t mess with Joe. The claim that they’re releasing the information, but it’s not 100% accurate, but we’re releasing the information anyway is typical Biden. Don’t you mess with Joe…don’t do it.

CBS: Administration’s Trillion-Dollar ‘Stimulus’ Claims “Hard to Believe”

When CBS News, evidently one of the legitimate news organizations fully sanctioned by the Obama Administration…up until now that is, begins to doubt the sacred word of Biden and Obama, you know the times they are a changin’. I’m debating on whether I should comment on the relationship between the term, “Stimulus” and the taxpayer-funded study that examined the sex lives of female college freshman. Maybe I won’t.

Romer: Impact of stimulus will level off

Level off? I thought they said that only 14% of the money has been spent so far. Oh Christina, I wish you the best in your job search, although failure seems to be a resume enhancement for Democrats. I have an idea. The original stimulus was $787 Billion. Let’s subtract the $194 Billion already used and take the $593 Billion which is left, divide it the 250 million or so working people and give each of us $2,372. Now that will stimulate the economy.

I only lied thiiiis much

I only lied thiiiis much

WASHINGTON — A top White House economist says spending from the $787 billion economic stimulus has already had its biggest impact on economic growth and will likely not contribute to significant expansion next year.

Christina Romer, the chair of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, said Thursday that the $194 billion already spent gave a jolt to the economy that contributed to growth in the second and third quarters of the year. She told a congressional panel that by the middle of next year, the impact of the stimulus will level off. Romer said spending so far has saved or created 600,000 to 1.5 million jobs but warned that unemployment will remain high, above 9.5 percent, through the end of 2010.

7 Months After Stimulus 49 of 50 States Have Lost Jobs

Let’s all hold hands and sing the Hope & change song. Ready? Here we go…Uh…uh…uh…Barack Hussein Obama. It seems the stimulus did everything except to stimulate. Hey Barack, you’re doing it wrong.

America Now Over 6 Million Jobs Shy of Administration’s Projections
Wednesday, October 21, 2009

The table below compares the White House’s February 2009 projection of the number of jobs that would be created by the 2009 stimulus law (through the end of 2010) with the actual change in state payroll employment through September 2009 (the latest figures available).  According to the data, 49 States and the District of Columbia have lost jobs since stimulus was enacted.  Only North Dakota has seen net job creation following the February 2009 stimulus.  While President Obama claimed the result of his stimulus bill would be the creation of 3.5 million jobs, the Nation has already lost a total of 2.7 million – a difference of 6.2 million jobs.  To see how stimulus has failed your state, see the table below.

$2.3 million in federal stimulus money is going to pay for Tampa Bay area beauty school tuition

While the arguments for the reasons to give this stimulus money in the article are noble, it doesn’t really address why every hard-working, tax-paying American outside of the Tampa Bay area needs to pay for this. This is FEDERAL stimulus money. We have no say as to how the government is spending our money.

More than $2.3 million in federal economic stimulus grants have gone to eight Tampa Bay area cosmetology and massage schools to pay tuition for the hairdressers, masseuses and nail technicians of tomorrow.

That’s swell news for those who see the beauty trades as a way to gain a firmer footing in the job market. But is there truly demand for more beauty school graduates at bay area salons?

Not really, said Monica Ponce, owner of Muse The Salon in Tampa.

“Instead of encouraging more people to go to beauty schools,” Ponce said, “they should probably help the stylists who are unemployed.”

First hard stimulus data finds 30,000 jobs saved or created

OK, first of all, I don’t buy the numbers, but I’m willing to humor the less than honest members of the Obama Administration. 30,000 jobs created out of the 3.4 million which were lost since the so-called stimulus was passed. How many of those jobs created are government jobs? 9.9% unemployment and climbing. Can anyone say 2010 elections?

The first direct stimulus reports showed that stimulus contracts saved or created just 30,083 jobs, prompting more Republican criticism of the $787 billion package.

The data posted Thursday was the result of the government’s initial attempt at counting actual stimulus jobs. Obama administration officials stressed that data was partial — it represented just $16 billion out of the $339 billion awarded — but they said it exceeded their projections.

“All signs — from private estimates to this fragmentary data — point to the conclusion that the Recovery Act did indeed create or save about 1 million jobs in its first seven months, a much needed lift in a very difficult period for our economy,” said Jared Bernstein, the chief economist for Vice President Joe Biden.
